Hello all,

Quite a hot beginning to a new week but the news is it will cool down quite a bit as of tomorrow. Good. I'm not ready for the 'broiler' quite yet, although it is right around the corner.

An interesting thing happened at the last Vero Beach Veterans jam session on Sunday. A young woman came in and sat at the bar. I went over to greet her, (they don't call me Miss Kitty for nothing!) and asked her how she had found us. She said, "Well, I'm new in town and was asking about music. Someone gave me a card about a site on-line." I handed her my verobeachlive.blogspot.com card and she said, "This is it! This is how I found out about this jam."
I was so pleased because that is my goal: make local music and musicians known to everyone who likes to get out and hear live music and socialize.

So be sure to send the blog address to all your friends. If they have trouble accessing it, suggest that they try www.verobeachlive.com, my website under construction. The only thing that works on it is the 'B' on the left for 'blog.' It might get them there.

Tonight - Dockside hosts Kent Taylor Brown, his various instruments and band of merry 'guest artists.' Always an enjoyable way to spend a Monday evening.

Or, on the island, Low Key is a two man band worth seeing at Blue Star.

I met a charming lady, Bea, the other night and she G-mailed me this message: "We saw you last nite at Kelley's Pub and told you about our fundraiser for MS that is taking place on April 7th from 3 to 6 PM at the Grove Isle Main Clubhouse.  Tony Schillizzi has offered to perform gratis at this event.  We love his music and are sure it will be a great time.  We provide snacks and food and iced tea but it is a BYOB.  We are asking attendees to make a contribution to the MS Society-checks made to MS."
