Hello all, 

Ok, we're midweek and May is upon us! End of season but beginning of summer fun. 

The new Vero Beach Chamber of Commerce is preparing for it's very first annual meeting so there is lot's of hustle and bustle there today. As membership director, I've been pretty busy! 
Soon I'll have a link to the chamber's website so you can keep up with what that organization is doing to 'Think Vero First!'

Tuesday and Wednesday, 4/29 and 4/30

Hello everyone, 

I wanted to feature the Cork and Tapas Wine Bar on Miracle Mile, simply because I really enjoyed the indoor/outdoor experience and because it felt like some kind of island holiday there last Saturday evening. It was all balmy with a light breeze keeping us comfortable under the palms.

Kent Taylor Brown was at the keyboard - and the flute, and the saxaphone, and the guitar!  The music was perfect for the ambiance.

And there was dancing - and good friends gathered to enjoy it all. 

Music lovers and vocalists in their own right! Frank
wrapped up the evening with 'Sweet Caroline.'

And they danced to 'Red Red Wine!'

And then I met these two ladies 'of the night' as they jokingly called themselves, Judy and Janet. And I learned about the "Relay for Life' team, [running for a cure for cancer], and how David Rodriquez, owner of the Cork [and now owner of a new Cigar Bar on the Pointe], had donated 15 beautiful bottles of wine to the cause.

There were also the lovely young people on hand to dance and -- smoke the hookah! Don't ask me what was in that glass pipe, but it was odorless and I suspect it was some form vaporized tobacco.
