First, the 14th Avenue Steakhouse Wednesday night "dance party" lived up to and in fact, exceeded, my expectations. The energy was wonderful, the music better than ever and some of us didn't stop dancing for 3 hours.
Kent Taylor Brown, Jeff Haley and bass player Peter Armfield started things off with some favorites and then, Marschall Van Doren showed up and worked his magic on the keyboards (with vocals) while Kent took over the guitar.
Every so often, Melinda McKee Branand would enchant us with a beautiful song and then, the guys were back with the rockin' sounds.
What a great mid-week treat that was!
One down-note: an attractive blonde woman alerted me to the fact that I had put the wrong time on a music event at the Blue Star. Drats! So sorry about that. I do my best, but will attempt to do better in the future.
To err is human so they say, so I must be even more human than most.
