Hope everyone had a pleasant weekend because there's a lot to do in Vero Beach during the winter season. Many organizations host benefits to aid their focus groups and there are outdoor concerts to celebrate our beautiful area and mild weather.
This blog is created to answer the question, "Where's the music?" in Vero Beach. Visitors want to go out and dance and socialize and when they ask this question, too often I've heard locals respond with, "Aw, there's no live music in Vero." That's when I'd take out my notepad and list three or four clubs where there was plenty of music and dancing. The locals are often amazed at what they didn't know was going on all around them.
Vero Beach Live focuses on local talent, directing people to restaurants, clubs and lounges where a variety of excellent and seasoned musicians entertain nightly.
Of course I have my favorites, those who satisfy my personal musical tastes, but knowing that there are musicians unknown to me, playing at small clubs downtown, on the beach or elsewhere, makes me want to explore and maybe find a new favorite to enjoy.
And the wonderful thing about Vero is that venues are close by, no need to drive long distances to find live entertainment.
I have an exciting vision for an actual website, something with more possibilities than a simple blog. I already own the domain name and have started building the site, (see www.verobeachlive.com) and am eagerly awaiting the arrival of a technically savvy side-kick, an entrepreneurial type who sees the potential of such a service.
