Hello live music lovers,

The beginning of a new month and I don't have all the music dates for the week up yet, gotta go scouting around for them. My 'scouting' has been a little slow lately due to some minor body repairs, but all is going well.

Music news of moment: Kent Taylor Brown gave it his best shot at YNOT Bar on US 1 the past few months, and with the great dance floor, one would have thought it would be a great success. Alas, the music on Tuesday's at YNOT has been discontinued, at least for now.

But that's the thing about live music, it moves around until it finds a home, a place it can thrive and bring pleasure to a large enough group and is beneficial for the club.

So, get yourself out there for some socializing and good vibes; be sure to award attentive servers and for sure, drop a few bucks into the musicians tip jar. It all adds up to make live music possible.

You can always catch Kent at the Dockside on Mondays and the 14th Ave. Steakhouse on Wednesdays and sometimes Fridays.

Love jazz?  I'm going to the Black Box (attached to the Sunrise Theater in Ft. Pierce) to hear the Jazz Society's 'Jazz Jam' tonight. It starts at 7 and only costs about $5 to get in. I'll give you an in-depth report tomorrow.
