Hello live music fans,
It pays to go out 'roving' to hear new music, you never know what the evening will bring. I had paid a visit to an elderly lady on the beach Tuesday evening and thought, since I'm right there on the island, I'd go by Blue Star and hear a little of the Low Key band.
I ended up staying til closing I enjoyed the music so much. Eric Olson on guitar and vocals with Bob Martens on mandolin sang so many very entertaining songs. Mike Marshall on electric guitar sat in for many of them and this trio sounded great.
Eric sang some original tunes, one of which is destined to be a big hit on the country charts someday. It's called "Gone, gone, gone" and the lyrics, "I thought you were right, but I was wrong" as a sample, kept my attention.
And then, as the evening wore on, he sang some old songs that were a little more bawdy and the innuendos so clever - I felt myself blushing at one moment when I suddenly 'got it.' And then I had to laugh.
Thanks guys, I had a very entertaining evening.
Low Key plays in various clubs (see schedule) so go hear them soon, I think you'll like their music.
