Happy New Week! 

Well here we are, the last week of June, settling into the summer season.  

My friend Cathy and I had a good time on Saturday, doing a bit of 'roving' to find the music. 

Enjoyed a bit of Low Key at the Patio over dinner and then over to hear Kent Taylor Brown at Cork and Tapas. Met David, the owner, and enjoyed a glass of really nice red wine. Also saw some delicious platters coming out of the kitchen!

From there, over to the Quilted Giraffe. The owner Patrick had raved about "Heatwave," a band from Jensen Beach that was playing at the restaurant.

'Heatwave' band - Mel Pfirman, Bob Rodgers and Dale Brown - makes you want to dance! 

We got there in time to dance to a couple of tunes, one of which was "Working Overtime." I realized what a great voice the bass player had when he started singing "Then You Can Say Goodbye." Very nice. 

This trio has been working together for many years and know how to keep the dance floor filled. They can be heard at Crawdaddy's frequently and plan to be back at the Quilted Giraffe in July. 

For those who haven't yet been there, the decor of the Quilted Giraffe is a real variation on the average restaurant. I find it relaxing and a charming atmosphere. And there is a very inviting dance floor!

These ladies enjoyed fun company, dancing and dinner at the Quilted Giraffe and all said they would be coming back soon! 

As for live music beginning of the week, pretty slim pickin's  but, fortunately, there is always the Dockside for food, drink and Kent Taylor Brown.
