Vero Beach Live

Well, hello live music fans, 

I almost didn't make it to Dockside last evening. You know how suddenly life can become very busy, too many things to do in too little time. 
But I said to myself, "Sometimes it's best to relax and do something you enjoy - like listen to two talented musicians, Kent Taylor Brown and Peter Armfield,  - have a glass of wine and visit with friends." Maybe even dance to a couple of the faster tunes to keep the blood flowing. 

At Dockside Grill every Monday, the music starts at 6 pm, and ends at 9, so by 7:30, I was there - with two 'sets' to go - and so happy I hadn't stayed home! 

Keyboardist, Marschall Van Doren and vocalist Sally Schillizzi came in for the last set, just when some high dance energy was wanted by the crowd. They picked up the tempo with 'Route 66' and I especially enjoyed Sally's 'Johnny B Goode!'

Guest singers, Nancy Richards and Linda Lee jumped in and did a few songs as well.

Kent took full advantage of having Marschall Van Doren behind the  keyboard and was soon up on Dockside's furniture, adding  his wonderful saxophone into the mix.

Kent ended this very pleasurable evening with an improvised rap song, thanking everyone who participated. 
Ah, our cozy, and sometimes crazy, Vero night life. Always something going on if you know where to find it.
