Hello live music fans,                                                                              

The Blue Star Wine Bar on Bougainvilla Lane, near Waldo's and Cravings, is a charming place where you can hear a variety of live music most nights of the week. I featured this venue on the blog on Sat., July 6th, 2013 [ Includes photos so scroll back to see it.] and have always enjoyed owner, Kitty Wagner. 

I was pleased to see a huge write-up in the paper this morning, saluting Kitty Wagner as 'Entrepreneur of the Year' awarded by the Indian River Chamber of Commerce. I hope you get a chance to read the article; it portrays a woman with spirit, stamina and intelligence as she tries various professions - from chef to studying architecture to restaurant owner - and now, runs a very successful place of entertainment, food and wine on the island.

Congratulations Kitty! I'll continue sending music lovers your way - and, after reading about your cooking skills, am eager to try something from your menu on my next visit to the Blue Star.

Halloween is almost here so get your costumes ready! I'm working on mine starting today.
