Vero Beach Live

Hello live music fans, 

I had the nicest surprise the other night at 14th Ave. Steakhouse. When I walked into the lounge, I was greeted by Barb Brooks, a friend I hadn't seen in a while who was there with her husband, the well known local dentist, Dr. Bud Brooks. 

Turns out they were celebrating their 47th (forty seventh!) wedding anniversary and had chosen the 14th Ave. Steak House because their dinner choice, chateaubriand, was served there.

Needless to say we all gave them a big cheer and I even sang a special song, "When I Fall In Love," for them. 

And who knew Barb was such a dancer! She was clearly enjoying herself that night as she well deserved to do. 

As young and energetic as ever, Barb and Bud enjoyed
several dances together.

We're all wishing the two of you many, many more happy years - and come back to the Steakhouse lounge on any Wednesday to party with us again soon. 

Barb and Bud also got a special music treat that evening. Kent Taylor Brown played the banjo (making that 6 instruments I've heard him play over time)  and he was even inspired to toss out a few one liners, using his bass player, Peter Armfield as straight man.

Everyone in the audience agreed, the banjo was a big success so bring it back again soon, Kent.
