Hello live music fans, 

It's been a grey and chilly day today, but last evening it was warm and cheery at the Quilted Giraffe. 

All tables were taken at the Giraffe on Saturday night!

We had the pleasure of not only a lovely atmosphere and good food, but the extreme enjoyment of hearing jazz and blues vocalist, Sybil Gage! She is personable, attractive and a spirited entertainer.

Besides her unique singing style, she adds her charming 'props' - her colorful boas and feathery head gear.

Among her songs were "Bad Girl," and an original called "Red" along with the classic "At Last." There was a combination of jazz and blues and I especially liked, "No Man Is Man Enough to Break My Heart" (which may have been the lyrics and not the actual title of the song), and she did it so well. She finished with a boogie number, "This Little Girls Gone Rockin"

She got a lot of support from her excellent piano player, Leon Olguin. He was really exceptionally good and you could sense how well they worked together. No surprise since Sybil told me they have been making music together for 9 years!

Also, there close by to make sure everything went right was her husband, Bill Gage.

On breaks, Sybil made the rounds, smiling and talking to everyone. I heard her say, "I think I've met everyone here tonight." And there were a lot of people, dining, dancing and enjoying the music.
