The high point for me this weekend was witnessing how Vero turns out for those it loves in time of need! The Vero Beach Elks hosted a benefit for our dear friend, Kim Morgan, who has just returned home after going to Chicago to donate a kidney to her youngest son, Craig, who was in dire need.
We're all aware of how expensive any medical intervention can be and Kim's friends did not let her down.The place was packed and they ran out of tickets at the door! There were tables filled with prizes to auction off from every business enterprise in town.
Kim sings with The Dolls and even though she said from the wheelchair friends insisted she use, "Don't ask me to sing today," she was soon up on the stage, singing her songs. MC, Charlie Wilson, kept the event moving smoothly.
