Hello Vero's live music fans,
On Friday:
The room was full and the music was jumping Friday evening at the Grille on the Green. As promised, vocalist Nancy Richards, with the excellent accompaniment of keyboardist,Kent Taylor Brown and bass player, Peter Armfield, brought us New Orleans jazz, blues and the American song book.

There was a delicious buffet served to suit the occasion and plenty of lively music to dance to. Nancy knows how to set the ambiance of a New Orleans party and we were all up following her and her umbrella in a conga line!
Be sure not to miss the next Nancy Richards event for good food and a memorable time.
And then, on Sunday.....At Earl's Hide-Away, Duffy Bishop and her fantastic band delivered the blues non-stop. This lady has a voice that Janis Joplin would have cultivated had she been able to stick around! Duffy and Chris Carlson, lead guitarist, are from Portland, Oregon where I lived for 20 years, so we had plenty to catch up on at break. They now live in St. Augustine.
Duffy Bishop seems to enjoy getting out there, close to her audience. We loved "Hope He Finds His Way Home"( if that's not the exact title, it's part of the song) which she sang among us and finished on stage, shoulder to shoulder with Chris.

Blue Star is excited to announce that we have been able to book "Complicated Animals" for this Thursday night (9/24/15)!
Complicated Animals is Brazilian American songstress Monica da Silva, and musician and producer, Chad Alger playing their self-coined "Indie Nova" genre. Their style mixes breezy, Indie Pop, with a touch of vintage Brazilian Bossa Nova.
There will be no cover, so you best make reservations or show up early. They will be playing Thursday from 7 PM to 10 PM.
