Tuesday and Wednesday, 4/29 and 4/30

Hello everyone, 

I wanted to feature the Cork and Tapas Wine Bar on Miracle Mile, simply because I really enjoyed the indoor/outdoor experience and because it felt like some kind of island holiday there last Saturday evening. It was all balmy with a light breeze keeping us comfortable under the palms.

Kent Taylor Brown was at the keyboard - and the flute, and the saxaphone, and the guitar!  The music was perfect for the ambiance.

And there was dancing - and good friends gathered to enjoy it all.

wrapped up the evening with 'Sweet Caroline.'

And they danced to 'Red Red Wine!'

And then I met these two ladies 'of the night' as they jokingly called themselves, Judy and Janet. And I learned about the "Relay for Life' team, [running for a cure for cancer], and how David Rodriquez, owner of the Cork [and now owner of a new Cigar Bar on the Pointe], had donated 15 beautiful bottles of wine to the cause.

There were also the lovely young people on hand to dance and -- smoke the hookah! Don't ask me what was in that glass pipe, but it was odorless and I suspect it was some form vaporized tobacco.
