Thurs 5/21 and Fri 5/22

I love getting notes like this on verobeachlive@gmail.com:

"Hello Tricia, Thank you for posting all the information that you do. It is really wonderful.
We will be coming down to VB from Ocala FL to get away from it all and looking forward
to seeing what music will be available Monday through Thursday.
Thanks again and keep up the great work. Kevin "

Hello all,

What a great Wednesday we had! It's mostly locals now and the energy at the 14th Avenue Steak House was amazing.  Jeff Haley sang every song with such feeling and of course, Kent Taylor Brown on keyboard and guitarmade all the singers and guest artists sound great.  Peter Armfield was on the bass and sang "Mustang Sally" for us in his very special style.
And of course, Judy White and her minions had the place decked out for the 4th of July!
Nice touch!

Judy is all decorated too!

Four - yes, FOUR sisters!
Dee        Barbara         Tina        Gay

Look at those faces! Judy and Adam have been up to something....
besides decorating!
Yes, that IS Jeff Haley himself,
and ...he has fancy new shoes.
Hanging out at the 14th Avenue Steakhouse Lounge on Wednesday night --
EVERY Wednesday night!

The 14th Avenue wrapped up at 9 pm and some of us zipped over to the Patio Seafood Restaurant because...we knew that the lovely and talented Sybil Gage was performing there! We caught the last hour of her show outdoors in the breezy evening and we are so glad we didn't miss it.

Miss Sybil Gage performs at the Patio
with her long time keyboard player, Leon,
every 1st and 3rd Wednesdays

Sybil 'brushes' the scrub board for a
special affect

The first song she did for all of us who'd suddenly arrived was, "Dream a Little Dream of Me," and then, "I'm Crazy 'Bout My Baby," a Fats Waller tune. She really pleased us with one of her original songs, "I've Got Nothin' to Prove," - very nice. We're going to want to get that CD!

After some 'country blues', she sang the familiar Janis Joplin's, "Bobby McGee." Even though we'd heard that song a million times, Sybil's distinctive voice and profound feeling made us hear it like it was brand new.
Leon Olguin (Ok, I'm trying to remember the spelling) has been accompanying her for 9 years and they are impeccable together! Leon is really a superb keyboard player whether it's
ragtime, blues or country.

I love her props; the boas and set decor, but I especially like her t-shirt logo:  "Get Sybilized!"

So here's what you need to know: tomorrow she flies off to NY to do a show there, but Sybil Gage will appear at the Patio Seafood Restaurant on the first and third Wednesday of every month , 7 to  10 pm. Which means she will be back on June 3rd and 17th.
Mark the dates on your calendar and plan to spend an enjoyable and memorable evening, over a nice dinner or drinks with friends and getting to know this unique and very entertaining talent!
