Hello everyone, 

The rain storm could not stop the fun at the 14th Ave. Steakhouse Wed. evening! Kent Taylor Brown and Jeff Haley kept spirits high (as did Judy and Adam behind the bar, I might add) and there were plenty of guest artists on hand to 'change things up.'  



The Retrorockers were featured guests and I especially liked their"Pretty Woman." We also had "Crazy" by Melinda; "At Last," by Nancy Richards and of course the incredible Doublemint twins, Cindy and Sandy Acker captivated the house with "It's Almost Like Being in Love," and "Route 66."  

It was good to see everyone again - at least all the everyone's who were there. With many people being out of town and others handling their personal health and life's hurdles, we were missing some familiar faces. 

Karen and John Power  dropped by the lounge after having dinner in the restaurant 'up front,' and it was good to see them. 

Our warmest thoughts go out to musician, Marschall Van Doren, whose wife of many years passed away suddenly this week. 

Celebrate life and support live music and our talented local musicians as often as you can.

Hello all, 

Such a rainy, rainy day on Tuesday- my patio plants love it so..I love it too! Now some nourishing sunshine would be great. 

I wanted to notify everyone about an event happening on Sunday at the VB Veterans Club. Local singer, Annie, who lost her husband suddenly a while back, sent me this: 

"We are having a party in celebration of Ron at the Vero Beach Veterans Club on Sunday, Sept 22nd.

The party is from 3-7and the club is providing chicken. All are asked to donate a side dish so that plenty of food will be available.

Mark and Jimmy of the Groovin'Groundhogs will be entertaining from 4-7 and I will try and sing a few songs with them. They stepped in at the last moment to help us out, so we haven't had the chance to get together much and rehearse. Looking forward to seeing old friends and making new ones." Annie.

Rehearsals or not, when Annie sings a song, (with the Groundhogs behind her this time) it's sure to be a great celebration, so don't forget to put this date on your calendar.
