Friday the 16h at Kellys - He's Back!

For all the old regulars, I thought you would like to know that Jimmy Keagan will be at Kellys this Friday!

A magic night!

It was quite an unusual night at Kelly's Irish Pub on Friday night. Just when I think I've heard the various musicians in Vero and the various combinations when they jam, a new piano man turns up.  I had heard Mark Farner play at the Moose jam last Sunday and 'bribed' him to come over to play my new keyboard and then check out Kelly's. "But do they just play Irish music?" this transplanted Chicagoan asked, doubtfully. 
I laughed. "No, I don't think Deja Vu plays a lot of Irish music." 


I introduced Mark to Vince and Eddie and after a little musician to musician two-stepping around, Mark ended up behind the keyboard and Vince was standing behind the mic with his guitar.  


Mark really seemed to be enjoying himself and played with an exciting energy and Vince was able to throw himself into singing and playing guitar. Eddie of course did his thing on the drums. 


The room was rocking along, really enjoying this unexpected combination when Marschall Van Doren walked in. Vince recruited him too and soon Marschall was behind the keyboard with Mark and it got even wilder! 


What a magic moment to hear these excellent musicians come together and give us all a great concert. Vero does have great musicians so come on out. You never know who will show up!
